What Matters Most
Every day we make thousands of decisions. Most are small, what to eat, what to wear, where to go, but the biggest decisions are shaped by what we value most.
James opens chapter five with a strong warning. The problem wasn't that these people had money. The problem was that money had them. They trusted possessions more than God, comfort more than compassion, and temporary wealth more than eternal treasure.
Jesus reminds us that where our treasure is, our heart will be also (Matthew 6:21).
Our calendars, spending habits, conversations, and daily routines reveal what truly matters to us. The question is, are my priorities leading me closer to Jesus?
God never asks us to ignore our responsibilities. He simply asks us to put His Kingdom first.
When Christ becomes our highest priority, everything else begins to find its proper place.

- What do my schedule and spending reveal about my priorities?
- Am I building my kingdom or God's Kingdom?
Prayer
Father, show me where my priorities have drifted. Help me value what You value. Teach me to invest my life in things that will last forever. In Jesus' name, Amen.
